Property Taxes (Bills containing 2 coupons are sent 1 time per year in October)
Due November 15th and May 15th
This is the only property tax bill that will be mailed. If you wish for a receipt, please include a stamped envelope.
Utilities (bills are sent quarterly)
Due March 15th, June 15th, September 15th, and December 15th
The bills explain that all taxes not paid by the final due date become delinquent with an 8% penalty and a 1% interest per month added to late payments. Payments must be received in the office by the due date, not the postmark, in order to avoid interest.
The City sends monthly reminders of amounts past due with interest and penalty. If someone cannot pay in full, they are encouraged to contact the delinquent tax collector and work out a payment plan. Please call (802) 334-5136 or email laura.dolgin@newportvermont.org.

Just stop by the Clerk/Treasurer’s office or give us a call at 802-334-2112 to use your MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express or Visa.
