CARNIVAL AND FIREWORKS COMING TO NEWPORT-Thurs. May 29th-Sun. June 1st, Millers Amusements Carnival will be set up at Gardner Park. Fireworks will be held on Sat. May 31st. Come down and bring the family. Discount coupons are available at the Newport Recreation Dept. office.
TICKETS FOR GREAT ESCAPE AND SIX FLAGS- Now available for sale at the Newport City Clerks Office. It’s a great place to bring the family and friends.
MLB PITCH, HIT AND RUN SECTIONALS-Sat. May 24th at Gardner Park at 11:30am. Come see our Local Winners compete against others from around the state.
CAFÉ AT THE GATEWAY-Our Café is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner items seven days per week. Sandwiches, Burgers, Refreshments, Philly Cheese steak sandwiches and more. Come down and relax at the Waterfront and enjoy.

MISSION STATEMENTIt is the purpose of the Newport Parks & Recreation Department to provide the Citizens of Newport City, with a broad selection of recreational opportunities and leisure time activities. The Department strives to enhance the quality of life in local communities and to develop and maintain future programs and facilities as needed. Recreation is fun for all!

All programs are available to City of Newport residents at a discounted rate, and to residents of surrounding communities at a slightly higher fee.
