MISSION STATEMENT It is the purpose of the Newport Department of Parks & Recreation to provide the citizens of Newport with a broad selection of recreational opportunities and leisure time activities. The department strives to enhance the quality of life in local communities and to develop and maintain future programs and facilities as needed. Recreation is fun for all ages.
