Anniversary of Goodrich Memorial Library July 5th

in the Municipal Parking Lot on Main Street, Newport
Goodrich
Memorial Library will celebrate its 110th anniversary
with a Blue grass band, The Birch Benders. Balloons,
face painting, kids' activities and a story walk along
the board walk along Lake Memphremagog. Library staff
will be dressed as Alice in Wonderland costumes.
Governor
Douglas will cut the anniversary cake at 2:30 PM.
Located
on the bottom floor of the Newport Municipal Building the Center is a place
to meet new friends, socialize and exercise. Brenda Landry, Director of the
Senior Center, puts on an excellent meal every Wednesday at noon for seniors
50+ and the cost is only $3.00 per person. The Strong Living Exercise
Program is held on Tuesdays & Fridays from 9:30-10:30am and is free of
charge.
